Cross Laminated Timber (KLH® - CLT) is made from timber lamellae- typically spruce- which are stacked in layers that are arranged perpendicular to each other and then bonded under high pressure using formaldehyde free adhesives to form large-format structural building components with bi-axial qualities.
These structurally load-bearing construction elements, which can be used both as load-bearing and non-load-bearing components, are commonly utilized as wall, ceiling, and roof panels in solid wood construction for various applications. Whether in single-family homes, multi-story residential buildings, office buildings, schools, kindergartens, event halls, or even in bridge construction.
KLH® - CLT is produced in our state of the art facilities exclusively on a project by project basis. The thickness and the number of layers of the panels are typically governed by the structural specification and fire resistance requirements.
More than 40,000 projects worldwide have been realized with KLH® - CLT, not least due to the competitiveness and advantages of the natural building material.
